Lemongrass

I'm always on the search for a good sweater, one that will make me feel good, allow me to curl up within it and inspire me to read a good book. I stumbled upon the pattern Lemongrass and was instantly intrigued. Of course, knowing that it is constructed using a bulky weight yarn meant that it was going to be a quick knit. Another plus.

Pattern: Lemongrass by JOJI
Yarn: Tosh Chunky
Color: Jade

This sweater took me exactly 15 days to knit. I love the yarn. Madelinetosh yarns are addicting for me, both in the color and feel of them. This yarn in particular was smooshy (yes I know that is not a word) and airy even though it is a bulky yarn. The color is intense and beautiful, pictures really do not do it justice at all. The pattern was extremely easy to follow as I used a row counter, something I need otherwise I forget what row I'm on which is important when there are cables.

Future Considerations: If I make this sweater again (which I am seriously tempted to do) I would make the arms 2-3 inches longer as I like the cuffs of my sleeves on sweaters like this to be a bit longer and cover my hands. I would also opt for 2-3 buttons on the side. Also, I would start with the turtleneck and then just increase when it came time to do the body rather than pick up the stitches.
